So are you wondering what to do with your kids while your at work and they are left to enjoy the luxury of sleeping in late, vegetating on the couch, and spending endless hours of facebooking, texting, and video surfing for the next three months? I personally vowed that this summer would be just a bit more productive for my teen than last summer. Is it gonna hit my pockets? Sure it is....but waking up at 1:00 PM after finally going to sleep, with cell phone in hand, at 4 AM wasn't going to be an option this summer. Will I cry everytime I fill up my gas tank at 70 bucks a pop knowing that weekly lunch money for school is minimal to the 100 dollars a week fee for summer camp? You betcha I will. But, I found that putting my teen in an L.I.T. (Leader in Training) program was a must this summer. She will get to attend camp, while learning how to be a counselor, assisting the counselors, and having face to face peer interaction as opposed to video chatting with  friends all day.
